Why is it so difficult to figure out love? Love is an important human need that is almost as important as food and water. Unfortunately, we’re not born knowing how to precisely love ourselves and others which can carry over into our relationships. Couples therapy is a process to redefine or rediscover how to love yourself and your partner.
My work with couples is mostly influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT has been found to be the most effective evidence-based approach for couple’s therapy. Research shows that through EFT, approximately 70% of couples shift from distress to recovery and report being much happier with each other.
